Artist Statement
Nazario (1985) explores detached observation from an objective gaze by incorporating psychic automatism as a methodology. He interrogates the essence and limits of power (symbolic or structural) and its relationship with perception and subjectivities. Navigating through historical, semiotic, and anthropological imaginaries, he seeks to resignify their impact on personal, domestic, and collective spaces using creative writing, painting, drawing, and the conception of utilitarian objects.
